More than just empty promises
Awards & Certifications
In light of steadily rising emissions and environmental impact, as well as the recurring challenges in the energy markets, sustainability and energy efficiency have been firmly embedded in our hotel philosophy from the very beginning.
The highest environmental standards were taken into account both during the planning and the implementation of the hotel project – for which we were awarded the klimaaktiv GOLD certification.
We are currently also going through the certification process for the Austrian Ecolabel and the EU Ecolabel, and in doing so we aim to be the first hotel in the Attersee region to set a clear example of responsible and sustainable business practices.
Our aim is not merely to talk about sustainability, but to put it into practice in a credible way through transparent, traceable and verifiable standards – for our guests, partners and staff.

ACHIEVING MORE TOGETHER
Through our sustainability strategy and action plan, we are establishing the framework for our company’s sustainable development. With your help, we can work together to ensure a greener stay.
Energy efficiency
DAS ZEIT has already been awarded the klimaaktiv GOLD certification for its particularly energy-efficient and sustainable construction. In addition, we generate around 10% of our annual electricity consumption via our own solar panel system.
conservation of resources
At our company, we rely on modern water-saving technology and are constantly developing new measures to use resources responsibly and sustainably.

We place great importance on regional partnerships – whether as a dedicated host to our guests, a reliable customer to our suppliers, or a fair employer to our staff.
Local produce & organic
We place great importance on regional food and working with local producers – increasingly including organic and Fairtrade products.
eco-friendly travel
We’re happy to help you make a low-emission journey using public transport. For the final leg of your journey, we’ll be happy to arrange a transfer using our electric shuttle.
Cleaning & Waste Management
By 2025, we will have switched the entire cleaning process to chemical-free steam cleaning. Waste is collected properly and, where possible, sent for recycling.
